[sv-bc] compiler directives in middle of statement

Does either 1364 or 1800 say anything about whether compiler directives
may appear in the middle of statements? I did not find anything. Beyond
the obvious examples of text macro calls and `include, I thought of an
example like

assign

`define s 0

a[`s] = b[`s] ;

What about actual implementations, if it is permitted to ask?

(You could answer that part privately, if you prefer.)

Thanks,

Shalom
