I've taken a look at the configs and library
map files and everything should be supported
for synthesis.

We may want to mention that a separate config
would be used for synthesis that would specify
the synthesis library for vendor instances.
The regular config would use a library for
these instances that specifies the verilog
model for the cell, but the synthesis config
would use a library specific to the tool
(i.e. myfoundry.db).

Also, the library map would not be used for a
vendor cell library, and the synthesis tool
would need to have the equivalent of a library
map file to indicate the mapping of the vendor
library to the symbolic verilog library name
used in the config.
