I have reviewed the constant function calls section and really
find only one objection on page 166 of section 10 (IEEE P1364/D6
(2/4/01).
It states:
If they use any parameter value that is affected directly or indirectly
by a defparam statement(see 12.2.1), the result is undefined. This
can produce an error or the constant function can return an
indeterminate
value.
I think that this should result in an error instead of an indeterminate
value because the synthesis tool may continue on with an indeterminate
value. I PROPOSE:
The constant function use of any parameter value that is
affected directly or indirectly by a defparam statement(see 12.2.1)
will result in an error .
