One update note: my new e-mail address is cliffc@sunburst-design.com (my
old address will quit working any day now).
Both gents have indicated that DASC membership also covers SA membership
(which is good).
I still wonder why DASC membership is required. Seems like the IEEE should
not discourage, nor penalize working group volunteers for making a better
Verilog specification by exacting additional fees from the volunteers.
Again, we are investing significant personal and/or company time and money
to create a quality document that will be turned over to the IEEE to be
copyrighted and sold. Why penalize the volunteers who are working on the
standard? Why not add $1-$5 to the price of the IEEE salable standard to
cover DASC and SA sponsorship? (A sponsors tax!)
Just my opinion.
