Hi Scott,
Mantis 2506 is the only mantis item that was opposed by the Champions
this morning. Mantis 2506 is the only mantis item that is still in need
of more work. The only reason it was opposed was due to an issue found in
the changes to the bnf.
Tomorrow I will be requesting permission from the Working Group to allow
the
sv-ec to meet on Monday December 5th. December 5th would be the next
regular
meeting time slot for the sv-ec.
We are hoping that you will be able to make changes to fix the bnf
problem.
The bug notes for mantis 2506 contain details on the BNF issue. There are
also several other suggested changes that are close to being Editorial in
nature. Some of them go a bit beyond being Editorial in the sense that the
Editor would most likely not feel comfortable making all of those changes
on his own.
The Champion's requested that you also take a look at those suggested
changes and make as many of those that you see fit to make.
Several of the Champions's want mantis 2506 to make it into the next draft
of the LRM. It represents a significant portion of the work done by the
sv-ec for this PAR. By having a proposal ready for the Monday meeting
will help towards making this possible.
The Editor is scheduled to have the next draft completed by Dec 9th.
If the SV-EC were able to approve a new version of 2506 on Dec 5th, the
Working Group might be willing to allow it into this PAR. The Champions
will also want to see the updated proposal before it goes to the Working
Group.
Any changes that you make should be for new versions of the proposal for
mantis item 2506 (not for a new mantis, as you suggested).
