[Daniel] >>Maybe it should be rewrtiten-reworded to make it clear. [Steven Sharp] >Perhaps, but I don't think it will affect what > implementations are doing. I fear that point of view is unreasonably and unfairly centred on the big three EDA vendors who, inevitably, dominate the sv-?c committees. Daniel works for a fourth vendor that I believe to be working on an implementation. Furthermore, English is the second language of almost all the implementors at that vendor. We have a collective responsibility to ensure that the LRM is sufficiently precise and comprehensible to facilitate their understanding. If the standard can only be interpreted by those who contributed to writing it, it ain't much of a standard. -- Jonathan Bromley Consultant DOULOS - Developing Design Know-how VHDL * Verilog * SystemC * e * Perl * Tcl/Tk * Project Services Doulos Ltd.
