The term "string literal" occurs 42 times in 1800. "literal string" appears 4 times, in 3.1, 3.6 (next to last para.), 4.7 (para. 3), and 23.2 (page bottom). On the face of it, they appear to refer to the same thing. But if so, this statement from 3.6 appears to be a tautology: "String literals can also be cast to a packed or unpacked array, which shall follow the same rules as assigning a literal string to a packed or unpacked array." Can anyone explain? Thanks, Shalom Shalom Bresticker Intel Jerusalem LAD DA +972 2 589-6852 +972 54 721-1033 I don't represent Intel
