David and all,
If I may, a bit of additional information.
Most email lists on eda.org are managed by a piece of software called
"majordomo." It uses an email-based interface to control it.
"which" and "who" are commands to majordomo. For the full list of
commands, send an email to majordomo@eda.org with the line "help" (no
quotes) in the body. (majordomo ignores the subject line.)
We've disabled certain commands at eda.org because of their potential
for abuse by spammers. "who", in particular, is rife with abuse
possibilities, since it allows those who use it to collect addresses.
We've had spammers use it in the past, before we disabled it by default.
