I am sorry that my wording was not clear.

For the "which" and "who" list commands to return information about the members within the mailing lists they must have settings that define who is allowed to receive the information.

By default the "which" command would not provide information on any addresses that were requested. The command uses the form "which address" where address is the one being looked for. It returns all lists for the mail list manager that has the named address. If the permission is set to "closed" (the default) for a particular list then it will never show up in the response. If the permission is set to "list" then it will show up if the person that sent the "which" command is a member of the list. If it is set to "open" then it will show up for any person that sent the "which" command. This allows spammers to make interesting requests.

Something similar is true for the "who" command.

I have set the permissions on "who" and "which" to be "list".
