Hi All,

This morning, I talked w/ Shalom regarding his questions below but I
thought to send a note anyway in order to clarify few things.

We had setup the ieee1800@eda.org reflector as an active mailing list
over a week ago so this is new which is probably why some people did not
know about it. Dennis mentioned the reflector list during our F2F
meeting and he added those members who attended the meeting in person or
through phone.

Since then few others (who are also active in Accellera or/and 1364)
sent a request to join the reflector email list and I have approved
their request.

I would also like to maintain openness and cooperation between 1800,
1364 and Accellera. So far, several positive steps were taken into that
direction but please note that we only had one (very successful) P1800
F2F meeting where focus was on the review and approval of our procedures
and policies (P&P). DASC-SC and CAG policies were kept in mind during
the review of the P1800 P&P. I was also very happy that Peter Ashenden
was able to attend this part of the discussion, as well as providing
excellent comments and feedback before and during the meeting.

As for communications w/ the 1364 committee, this will be taken into
account. I had several discussions and emails exchanges w/ Peter on this
regard as well as one phone call w/ Michael McNamara. My initial focus
is to get the P1800 operating ASAP and in parallel communicate and
define the proper and agreed-upon working structure w/ 1364 and
Accellera. I will take the action item of contacting Michael and discuss
relevant options to clarify confusions or/and questions regarding these
topics.

I am looking forward to positive cooperation.

Regards,

--- Johny.

Dennis,

I see in your mail an ieee1800@eda.org address.

Is that reflector already working?
Can anyone join?
Why has it not been publicized?
Why is p1800 not communicating with p1364?

All this does not bode well for openness and cooperation...
