SV-EC, SV-BC,

Has anyone considered the impact of the new SV type system
on the good old $readmemb/$readmemh file formats?

We've thought of a few pretty big holes in the memory system,
one of which dates back to Verilog-2001 w/Multi-D arrays:

1) No support for enum types, int, etc. in file format
2) No support for 3-D or higher dimensioned memory arrays
3) No corresponding $writememb/$writememh is in the LRM

Is anyone planning a 3.1a donation with these elements?
If not, would it be possible for David S. or someone
else to put this on the "list of stuff we really should
get addressed at some point in the future"?

Thanks and regards,
Doug Warmke, MTI
