Michael, In 1800/D4, the term "multiple dimension array" is used only twice, I think, and "multidimensional array" is used about 30 times. The meaning is the same. The terminology should be consistent. Clearly, it is simply because someone chose a slightly different wording for the same concept and no one was checking for terminology consistency. I already pointed out to the editor that the two existing uses of "multiple dimension array", one of which is indeed the title of 7.4.5, should be changed. After getting that fixed, let's not reintroduce the confusion.
