Another reason for completely junking the notion of multi-dimensional arrays, surely. Later today I'll add to 958 a modified proposal, specifying that it shall be illegal to call any query function with a dimension number N>1 if the variable in question has more than one variable-sized dimension among its dimensions <= N. Would that satisfy your concern? Is it OK for implementers? -- Jonathan Bromley, Consultant DOULOS - Developing Design Know-how VHDL * Verilog * SystemC * e * Perl * Tcl/Tk * Project Services Doulos Ltd.
