Hi, All - Clocking blocks, programs and event scheduling are serious issues where there is still much confusion. Could I suggest that we hold a day-long face-to-face meeting on the combined subjects and nothing else? I think if the major players and interested users would be willing to travel to San Jose to a meeting hosted by Synopsys or Mentor (or come to Oregon for the same meeting :-)) that we could accomplish on a white board and with presentations, that which is difficult to do by conference call. Goal of the meeting: put together proposals for submission to the EC addressing Mantis 890 and other issues related to event scheduling, clocking blocks and programs. Voting rights - would not count towards voting eligibility. All participants to vote on proposals but none of the proposals could be passed in this meeting (we can only assemble proposals to be submitted to the EC - sort of like a champions meeting for clocking-programs-events) >Personally, I would prefer Thursday or Friday, November 2 or 3, >because I know I will not schedule a class during the important >international holiday of Halloween with its ever-so important family >pumpkin carving for home and daughter's school. I might be available >earlier depending on what I learn from customers early next week. > >I intend to put my Boston SNUG paper (co-authored by Arturo) on my >web page by late tomorrow. We talked about event scheduling and >clocking blocks and programs and tried to stay away from most of the >trouble areas. Arturo proposed an interesting scheduling alternative >in the paper. >www.sunburst-design.com/papers >(Check late on Friday for the paper) > >Regards - Cliff ---------------------------------------------------- Cliff Cummings - Sunburst Design, Inc. 14314 SW Allen Blvd., PMB 501, Beaverton, OR 97005 Phone: 503-641-8446 / FAX: 503-641-8486 cliffc@sunburst-design.com / www.sunburst-design.com Expert Verilog, SystemVerilog, Synthesis and Verification TrainingReceived on Thu Sep 21 17:28:17 2006
