Accellera Invites Electronic Design & Test Community to Its Compression Technical Committee Kick-off Meeting, May 4th, Rancho Mirage, California

Open Committee to work on standard for reducing tests cost

Rancho Mirage, Calif.-- Accellera, the electronics industry organization focused on electronic design automation (EDA) standards (based in Napa, CA, USA), announced today that it will hold a kick-off meeting at the 2005 IEEE VLSI Test Symposium (VTS) (www.tttc-vts.org) for its new Open Compression Technical Committee (TC). The organization is calling for participation and invites members of the electronic design and test community, tool users and suppliers, as well as academia to attend and participate.

The TC’s goal is to develop an Open Compression standard for non-proprietary on-chip test data compression structures, reducing the cost of test and giving semiconductor companies as well as the design and test community more options for selecting DFT, ATPG and diagnostics products for their designs. The new Accellera TC is supported by semiconductor companies as well as Accellera members.
