Re: [sv-bc] E-mal Vote: Respond by 8am PDT, Sunday Sep 30, 2007

I vote against 1747. I don't oppose the concept but don't
like the form of the proposal. I'd prefer to have something
like `default_porttype and simply claim that it takes
precedence over `default_nettype if both are present. The implied
"none" for non-ports when we have "`default_nettype ports_only wire"
is bound to be confusing.

I vote in favor of the rest with 3 friendly suggestions
below. I would approve the items anyways, but I think
the suggestions help.

Approve 699 with a friendly suggestion to change the
blue "in which case" to just "then" since the proposed
text doesn't read very well in the full sentence.

Approve 907 with a friendly suggestion to change the
term "default value" to just "default" throughout. This
is less confusing when thinking about type parameter
defaults which are not "values".

Approve 1949 with a friendly suggestion to add a note
to the editor regarding the red tick mark to make sure
that part of the change isn't missed.

Gord.
