The second draft of the SystemVerilog LRM which includes the first merge
of 1364 with it is now available for download. You can find it at:

http://www.eda-stds.org/sv-ieee1800/Specifications/P1800-2008-draft2-PRO
TECTED.pdf

A password is required to open the LRM. You can use the same password
you used for draft 1 of the P1800 LRM.

In the future, a non-password protected version will be made available
to each IEEE P1800 Working Group member company. I am waiting for the
final changes to the passwords to make this happen. It should be done
early this week.

Dennis

Here is what Stu wrote regarding the status of this version of the
specification:

Attached is the first draft of the merged Verilog and SystemVerilog LRMs
-- all 1,138 pages.

The merge process is not complete, but is substantially far along.
Almost all the difficult part of the job is done, that of actually
merging the text of the documents (the few exceptions are noted in the
appropriate places in the LRM). Most of the work that remains involves
formatting and cross referencing, which is tedious and time consuming,
but does not affect technical content.

This draft should adequately meet the goal of allowing the SV committees
to vote on if a merged LRM is viable, and if any course corrections are
needed.

I added a cover sheet that states that this is the intended purpose of
this draft, and that this draft is not intended to be the baseline for
bug fixes and enhancements. That baseline draft will be generated once
the committees have decided that this initial merged LRM is going the
right direction.

I'm looking forward to hearing what the committees have to say... [ I
think :) ]
