More natural to whom?  As a language design exercise there is a certain
elegance to it, and I am happy to acknowledge that.  But as a practical
matter, you would have had to make this suggestion 30 years ago and get
K&R to agree with it.  Then C and Verilog coders might find it more
natural.

Are you seriously proposing this as an alternative to guaranteeing
short-circuit execution for && and ||, and if so, why?
