Accellera wishes to recognize the outstanding achievements of its technical committee members. This is done by selecting an outstanding contributor to the Accellera standards development process as a recipient of the Accellera Technical Excellence Award.

This is an annual award to recognize major contributions to the development of standards in Accellera. Examples of such contributions may include leadership in standardization of new technologies, assuring achievement of standards development goals, identifying opportunities to better serve the needs of the industry through standards.

The award recipient will be announced at the 2009 DVCon so that the membership can show its appreciation to the individual chosen and celebrate the excellence of their achievements.

Eligibility

Any member of an Accellera Technical Committee is eligible for the award.

Nomination Criteria

A candidate for the Accellera Technical Excellence Award may be nominated by any member of an Accellera Technical Committee. Nominations must include the following information:

  • Candidate's name, address, and affiliation.
  • Brief description of the specific achievements that justify the award
  • Why those achievements are important to the industry
  • Names of at least two but not more than five co-sponsors of the nominee who are also members of Accellera TCs and represent at least two different affiliations.

Nominations must be submitted to Accellera on or before January 9, 2009 using our online nomination form (login required).

Selection

The award recipient will be selected from the valid nominations received by the Accellera Awards Committee and approved by the Accellera Board of Directors. The Awards Committee is comprised of the Marketing Committee plus the Accellera Chair and the Technical Committee Chair. The composition of this committee may be changed from time to time by the approval of the Board of Directors.
