systemc-forum - Configure Error !!

hello all,
during the installation of system c, i am supposed to run
the ../configure command but it shows me this error
Code:
bash-3.00$ ../configure
checking build system type... configure: error: cannot guess build type; you
must specify one
any ideas!!..
I havent done anything weird uptil now in installtaion
Just untar the systemc.tgz then
issued the command export CXX="/share/..../g++"
and after that configure command..

(P.S : i previously installed it successfully and wanted to install it
in another folder..but this error shows up...:S)
