I've downloaded the tarball (just last week) and am trying to install.  I've
created the configure script but now I'm getting a warning saying that the
'missing' script is too old or missing.

I'm running on RedHat9 (2.4.21-4.ELsmp kernel). 

Crawling through the archives hasn't helped for this problem.  Any ideas?
