Hi all,
Here is an answer from Martin concerning the topic. Do you think that it
is quite risky to tell to customers that they may use later releases
without orblems?
Thanks

Hi Nizar,
The OSCI SystemC 2.0.1 reference implementation says the following about
supported platforms (in the README file):
This release is supported on the following platforms for which it has
been well tested:
o Sun Solaris 2.7 and 2.8 with GNU C++ compiler versions
gcc-2.95.2 and
gcc-2.95.3
o Sun Solaris 2.7 and 2.8 with SUN C++ compiler versions SC6.1 and
SC6.2
o Linux (Redhat 6.2) with GNU C++ compiler versions gcc-2.95.2 and
gcc-2.95.3
o Linux (Redhat 7.2) with GNU C++ compiler version gcc-2.95.3
o HP-UX 11.00 with HP C++ compiler versions A.03.15 and A.03.33
(Note: +O1 is the highest safe optimization level)
o Windows NT 4.0 (SP6a) with VC++ 6.0 (SP5)
As stated, these platform/compiler versions have been well tested.
Unofficial, SystemC can be compiled with the gcc-3.x compilers as
well. You may want to add the -Wno-deprecated compile flag to get
rid of the annoying warnings. To make sure SystemC works well with
any of the gcc-3.x compilers, you can run the 2.0.1 regression tests
that you can download from www.systemc.org.
Regards,
-Martin
